CAPITAL SHOWCASE TOURNAMENT REPORT

CHE teams had a great success at the Capital Showcase, leading to a fateful bout in the semifinal.
The Center of Hockey Excellence brought two teams to the Capital Showcase, CHE White and CHE Blue. Both teams found success in the preliminary rounds, earning each a shot in the playoff. After beating their respective opponents in the quarterfinal, the two teams met each other in the semis. This is not an uncommon occurrence for CHE teams, as our squads are known to elevate their play to make it to the later stages of the tournament. On this day there had to be a winner, CHE Blue won against CHE white to move on to the tournament final. CHE Blue would go on to lose by two goals and become tournament runner-ups.
We are proud of both CHE White and CHE Blue for their effort and success in Ottawa this year. The capital showcase semi final was a testament to the drive and determination of our players. We look to bring this energy to the Carnevale Showcase in Toronto on June 17.
