Zach Pease

LEAD TRAINER, FOUNDER OF ZP COACHING

“I’m frequently asked by players and their parents the same question — what’s the most important thing to consider when developing an elite prospect? My answer boils down to three things — the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection. Mindset skills training improves focus and develops leadership skills. Strength training improves agility, longevity, and creates a foundation for an imposing player. The spirit allows you to play free.”

BIOGRAPHY

Zach played NCAA hockey for SUNY Canton and graduated in 2019 with a B.Sc. in Applied Psychology. He went on to play professionally for the Columbus River Dragons, Huntsville Havoc, Knoxville Ice Bears and Elmira Enforcers.

Post hockey, while maintaining his life-long love for the game, Zach founded ZP Coaching. Having navigated the hockey world from Jr. A through college and the professional ranks, Zach recognizes that elite junior prospects can and will benefit from his own experience.

TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

After extensive research and developing tailored training programs over the past four years, Zach recognized that how we treat our physical body is a piece of a much larger puzzle – the importance and value of physical fitness and training, when combined with nutrition, meditation and mental practices, builds a complete Mind-Body-Spirit Connection.

Zach works with a select, small group of individuals each off-season in order to give each player the time and attention required to break through to the next level. Each prospect starts with an on-ice assessment, followed by an off-ice gym session. From there, Zach builds a customized training, nutrition and supplement protocol that is unique to the specific player’s objectives.

“Natural skill and instinct take us only so far. It is the marriage of the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection that is the foundation of ZP Coaching, and ultimately the unique skillset I bring to CHE.”
